Trade mark practice guideline amendment 2006/12 - previous registrations

IPONZ has confirmed its practice in relation to previous registrations in light of recent High Court and Hearings decisions in New Zealand and overseas.
As a result, IPONZ has inserted clause 1.5 Previous Acceptances or Registrations in the Practice Guidelines on Absolute Grounds: Distinctiveness.
