Variation to operational separation undertakings
The process for submissions on a second proposed variation to Telecom’s Operational Separation Undertakings closes on Friday, 18 September 2009.
The proposed variation relates to the requirement on Telecom to implement logical separation of shared information systems containing customer confidential information by 31 December 2009.
Operational Separation, which came into effect on 31 March 2008, had the effect of splitting Telecom into three separate business units. The need for a process to allow variation of the Undertakings was envisaged at the time they were developed.
Submissions
Comment is sought on Telecom's proposed variation and a draft peer review report on Telecom’s proposed variation of the undertakings.
Submissions close at 5.00pm on Friday 18 September. They should be provided in writing to opsepsubmissions@med.govt.nz.
